I looked out off my deck one morning and I saw something moving in my yard by my pepper plants. It was hard to tell what it was from my deck so I got a closer look. When I got down there I found this little tortoise crawling around by my pepper plants. He or she walked around the yard for a little while, hung out on some rocks by the fence and then must have moved on. I didn't see it later on in the day and have not seen it come back since. People told me I should have kept it but I figured he or she was in their natural environment and seemed to be content. I let it be and thought it would be happy in the wild. Surprisingly it did not eat any of the lettuce I have growing in the garden!
